Wameesh Cultural Learning Space

Root Interiors worked with the Mowachaht Muchalaht First Nation to transform an underused room into the bright, flexible Wameesh Cultural Learning Space. The renewed space supports language revitalization, storytelling, intergenerational learning, and much-needed staff workspaces. Private offices, a small breakout zone, and an adjustable central learning table provide room for both focus tasks and group activity. Fresh finishes and improved lighting enhance comfort and usability. Delivered within a modest budget, the project reflects the Nation’s cultural priorities while supporting long-term growth.
